codequest is a Warsaw-based team of technology enthusiasts developing high-quality software. We offer 100% remote work worldwide with a center in Warsaw. We seek a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to design, train, deploy, and monitor ML models for edge and bare-metal environments, mentoring engineers and shaping data strategies.

You will work with Python, ML frameworks, and cloud and MLOps tools, collaborating closely with product teams to translate business needs into scalable architectures.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of commercial experience in Machine Learning or Software Engineering, including a proven track record of deploying models in production.

Responsibilities

• Designing, training, deploying, and monitoring machine learning models, with a particular focus on bare-metal and edge environments.
• Shaping data acquisition and processing strategy, including choosing the infrastructure and tools that automate the work of the annotation team.
• Building dedicated solutions that support the ML team, including automated pipelines for syncing and analyzing audio and video recordings.
• Working closely with the product team on the growth strategy, and translating business requirements into the optimal technical architecture.
• Providing technical support, sharing knowledge with less experienced team members, and upholding high engineering standards.

Right now we're looking for someone to join us as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer!

• At least 5 years of commercial experience in Machine Learning or Software Engineering, including a proven track record of deploying models in production.
• Fluency in Python and solid software engineering practices (Clean Code, CI/CD, Git, automated testing).
• Deep knowledge of at least one popular neural network framework (e.g. PyTorch, TensorFlow) as well as classical ML (scikit‑learn, XGBoost).
• Proficiency with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure), plus hands‑on knowledge of containerization and MLOps.
• Ability to work independently on complex architectural problems, and experience mentoring other engineers.
• Very good command of both English and Polish.

We would love if you had:

• Hands‑on experience with SBCs and microcontrollers (e.g. Raspberry Pi, STM32) and familiarity with Edge AI.
• Knowledge of advanced image and audio processing tools (OpenCV, ffmpeg, librosa).
• Experience with model and data versioning tools (e.g. DVC, MLflow) and confident bash scripting.
• Knowledge of C/C++ or Rust for performance optimization and model quantization on embedded devices.
