Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking an experienced Kotlin backend engineer to join a fintech platform in Rzeszów. You will design, implement, and scale microservices, collaborate across Platform, Services, and SMB, and mentor teammates to raise technical excellence.

The role emphasizes performance, reliability, and cloud-native skills in AWS/Kubernetes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust financial tooling, including payments, expense handling, and real-time analytics, while

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience.
Expertise in server-side languages, especially Kotlin, and distributed systems/microservices.
Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Kubernetes).
Proficiency with PostgreSQL, testing frameworks (JUnit, Testcontainers), and observability tools (Grafana).
Strong problem-solving skills and collaboration to mentor teammates.
Very good English (minimum B2).
Residing in Poland is required.

Responsibilities

Lead design, build, and maintain scalable microservices using Kotlin.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Platform, Services, SMB, and more.
Analyze system performance and implement optimizations for reliability and scalability.
Participate in code reviews, post-mortems, and mentor engineers.
