Job summary

Miratech is seeking a Senior Java Developer to join a global IT services and consulting team delivering customized software solutions for a major European client in tax administration. You will work on backend Java components using Spring and Quarkus, with microservices, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and data integrations across PostgreSQL and RESTEasy.

The role involves collaboration with distributed teams and CI/CD optimization.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Java development.
• Strong experience with Spring Framework and Quarkus.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and containers (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL).
• Experience with REST/SOAP integrations and messaging (Kafka, ActiveMQ).
• Good understanding of testing principles and English communication.

Responsibilities

• Implement software components according to the design specifications.
• Perform system integration and testing, problem troubleshooting, and resolution.
• Perform unit testing of software components.
• Participate in estimating project efforts and delivery timelines.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure efficient project progress and roadmaps.
• Provide technical input into product roadmaps and triage activities.
• Support and optimize CI/CD processes.

We are looking to hire aSenior Java Developer who will take part in development and maintenance services for customized software solutions for large European customer, a provider of innovative software solutions for the public sector.
The client is a technology service provider specializing in digital solutions for public sector organizations. The company focuses on developing secure, scalable platforms that support administrative processes, data management, and digital transformation initiatives.
The project includes software application development in the tax administration domain. The system under development is the tax administration system that covers taxation processes in one of the European countries. This is the complex system that covers the full life-cycle of tax declarations processing and tax calculations and assessments that included integration with multiple external systems. The project team consist of 20+ people.

Responsibilities:

• Implement software components according to the design specifications
• Perform system integration and testing, problem troubleshooting, and resolution
• Perform unit testing of software components
• Participate in estimating project efforts and delivery timelines
• Proactively collaborate with teammates and communicate with the Project Stakeholders to ensure that the Project efforts proceed efficiently and with predictability
• Provide technical input into product roadmaps
• Participate in triage activities (incident analysis and prioritization)
• Support and optimize CI/CD processes

Project Tech Stack:
Backend (Java): Spring, Quarkus. Frontend: Angular(latest versions)
Data & Integration: PostgreSQL,RESTEasy, Hibernate / Panache,Kafka
Architecture, DevOps & Tools: Microservices, Maven, Flyway, Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab, Jira, ArgoCD,Grafana

• 6+ years of experience in Java development
• Strong experience with Spring Framework, Quarkus
• Understanding of microservices architecture and containers (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL or other RDBMS)
• Experience with REST/SOAP integrations and messaging (Kafka, ActiveMQ)
• Good understanding of testing principles
• Ability to communicate confidently in English
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with stakeholders and distributed teams

Nice to have:

• Experience in Angular front-end development
• German or Swiss German language skills
