Job summary

Wakacje.pl is looking for a Senior Golang Software Engineer (Data & Infrastructure) to join the Supply Nexus team. The role blends hands-on coding with research on data structures and processing techniques, aiming to unify data feeds and scale the booking engine.

Expect roughly half the time coding or reviewing, and half researching data architectures. The position offers a hybrid work model with quarterly in-office collaboration in Poland.

Qualifications

• 6+ years as a software engineer, including 3–4+ years with Go.
• Experience processing large volumes of data at scale.
• Strong SQL and database design for relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with distributed systems and API design (REST/gRPC).

Responsibilities

• Split time roughly 50/50 between coding/code review and research on data structures and processing approaches.
• Maintain and enhance Supply Nexus, including the booking engine.
• Integrate data and systems from across the business into one unified platform.
• Lead the redesign of a legacy service onto a modern platform — from architecture through delivery.
• Import and maintain tour operator data feeds with focus on availability.
• Process very large files and structure data into terabyte-scale databases.
• Design indexes for fast data access.
• Handle basic DevOps: CI/CD, deployment, cloud resource optimization.
• Improve platform performance, scalability, reliability, and observability.
• Build and improve API integrations across entities.
