Job summary

Monterail is seeking a freelance fullstack engineer to collaborate remotely on a B2B SaaS platform. You'll own features from concept to production, building dashboards, billing UIs, and developer-facing tools while focusing on the developer experience.

You'll work with Ruby on Rails and React, move across the stack, and communicate timelines proactively. This role is embedded with the Monterail Tech Network on a client project.

Qualifications

• Fullstack engineer with Ruby on Rails and React proficiency.
• Strong focus on developer experience in tools you build.
• Comfort with ambiguity and owning features end-to-end.
• Proactive communicator who meets commitments and flags risks early.
• Experience with AI coding assistants is a plus.
• Design and UX sensibility in product flows.

Responsibilities

• Take features from concept to production, including dashboards, billing UIs, and developer-facing tools.
• Propose solutions and drive outcomes rather than waiting for a roadmap.
• Collaborate with clients and Monterail team on delivery and quality.
• Own quality and metrics post-release and iterate based on feedback.
