Specific-Group Poland is hiring for a frontend engineer to rebuild an e-banking portal using React and Next.js in a hybrid Krakow setup. You will work in a small, English-speaking team with design and QA, delivering mobile-first, accessible UI.
The project leverages AI coding agents as part of daily workflows and involves a Next.js BFF layer for the backend integration. The role emphasizes production React/Next.js expertise, collaboration across disciplines, and a strong focus on accessibility
Poland | Krakow | Hybrid | 30–40 EUR/hour on b2b or 18-22.000 PLN/gross on UoP (2 seats)
Most frontend migrations are about keeping old screens alive. Here an international retail bank is replacing its old e-banking portal with React and Next.js, and you rebuild it screen by screen: mobile-first, accessible, with AI coding agents as part of the daily workflow
Specific-Group is an owner-managed IT services company with 26+ years in the market, 550+ specialists across 10 countries, and no VC funding or exits. Around 90% of our people are senior-level, and 82% of projects get extended — because clients value the work. More than half of our people join through referrals.
A leading international retail bank is rebuilding its e-banking portal. The current UI runs on Angular; the new one is built in React and Next.js — mobile-first, responsive and accessible (WCAG 2.1 AA), because it’s a regulated consumer banking portal used by a lot of people every day. A small backend-for-frontend layer in Next.js is part of the scope. AI coding agents — Windsurf, plus agents like Devin — are part of how the team actually ships, not a line on a slide.
You join a peer-level SPG team that already delivers the full frontend on this client account: around 8 people, all SPG — 3 frontend developers, 2–3 QA, 1 UI/UX designer, 1 technical BA and project management. You work day to day with design and QA. The client owns the backend, DevOps and test automation. The team works in English.
Month 1: Onboard to the client’s environment, get into the React/Next.js setup and the Angular portal you’re replacing, and ship your first rebuilt screens.
Months 2–3: Deliver screens and their Next.js BFF endpoints independently within the client’s dev cadence — mobile-first and accessible.
Month 4+: Be a steady contributor on the rebuild; the engagement renews per tranche.
Specific-Group is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applications regardless of gender, age, origin, religion, disability or sexual orientation.
