This role is for exceptional engineers with deep technical expertise in modern frontend development and architecture. You’ll contribute to next-generation AI-enhanced user experiences across Opera’s products, building interfaces that are fast, intuitive, intelligent, and used globally at massive scale.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Design and build advanced frontend features for AI-powered and AI-enhanced browser experiences.
• Integrate AI-assisted development workflows across the entire frontend lifecycle, from prototyping to optimization.
• Drive frontend evolution with a focus on scalability, performance, maintainability, and architectural integrity.
• Collaborate across teams (backend, design, product) to deliver seamless and polished user experiences.
• Mentor other developers, encourage innovation, and contribute to the continuous improvement of tools, workflows, and engineering practices.

Job Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in frontend development with modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML, and CSS, plus strong knowledge of frameworks like React, Vue, or Svelte.
• Proven ability to design and implement scalable, performant, and accessible frontend architectures.
• Hands‑on experience with AI tools, including prompt engineering, refining AI-generated code, and demonstrating measurable productivity or quality improvements.
• Strong backend integration skills (RESTful APIs, WebSockets) and expertise in frontend performance optimization and best practices.
• A strong record of collaboration, innovation, and technical excellence in modern frontend engineering.
