Job summary

Shiji in Katowice is looking for a frontend engineer to help develop a distributed system for hospitality, including reservations and payments, across microservices. The role uses React, TypeScript, SASS, Webpack, and Docker, with Gitlab CI/CD and a focus on clean, scalable UI components.

You will collaborate with UI/UX, write tests, perform code reviews, and help deliver robust features with performance in mind. This is a 1-year contract based in Poland.

Qualifications

• General awareness of web application performance best practices.
• Experience with React, React Hooks.
• Nice to have additional frontend technologies, not required.
• Interest in testing, review and code quality.
• Solid knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, SASS, Jest/Enzyme, Web Components.
• Ember experience is a plus but not mandatory.
• The position is offered on a 1-year contract.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining software features based on visual mockups and UX descriptions.
• Writing tests.
• Contributing to the infrastructure used by the team for development.
• Code reviewing.
• Delivering high-quality, functional and performant code.
• Applying SOLID principles and design patterns in software development.
