Job summary

Pepco Poland Sp. z o.o. in Poznań is seeking a seasoned Financial Reporting Specialist to join our SSC.

You will lead monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, ensure IFRS compliance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes. The role requires strong analytical skills and English proficiency. Responsibilities include coordinating closes, supporting statutory statements, and mentoring junior staff while working in an international environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• Bachelors or higher with 5+ years in audit or financial reporting (Big4 welcome).
• Strong IFRS knowledge; local GAAP is a plus.
• Experience with month-, quarter-, and year-end closing.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail; SSC/intl environment experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports per internal policies and external reporting requirements.
• Assist statutory and group financial statements.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reporting.
• Analyze financial data, identify variances, and provide insights for decisions.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Cooperate with auditors by providing documentation and explanations.
• Ensure IFRS compliance and internal controls.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Controlling, Tax, and Finance.
• Participate in process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency.
• Support new reporting tools, systems, or regulatory requirements.
• Mentor junior staff and share best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in line with internal policies and external reporting requirements.


• Supporting the preparation of statutory and group financial statements.


• Ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reporting.


• Analyzing financial data, identifying variances, and providing insights to support business decisions.


• Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.


• Supporting month-end and year-end closing activities.


• Cooperating with internal and external auditors by providing required documentation and explanations.


• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.


• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Accounting, Controlling, Tax, and Finance.


• Participating in process improvement initiatives to enhance reporting efficiency and quality.


• Supporting the implementation of new financial reporting tools, systems, or regulatory requirements.


• Mentoring junior team members and sharing knowledge and best practices when needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.


• Minimum5years of relevant experience inaudit(most welcomed BIG4)orfinancial reporting


• Strong knowledge of IFRS; knowledge of local GAAP is an advantage.


• Experience with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.


• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.


• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) is an advantage.


• Experience working in a shared services (SSC/BPO) or international environment is preferred.


• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.


• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.


• Continuous improvement mindset and willingness to optimize financial processes.


• Occasional travel may be required (approximately 5–10%), mainly for workshops, or key meetings


• English at B2/C1 level or higher (written and spoken).
