Senior Financial Accountant (f/m)

Your responsibilities
- Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and Austrian GAAP (UGB).
- Perform account reconciliations and support period-end closing activities.
- Ensure compliance with Group accounting policies and local statutory requirements.
- Analyze financial data and support variance investigations and reporting activities.
- Assist in maintaining high-quality accounting records and documentation.
- Support external reporting requirements, including tax reporting, statistical reporting, and transfer pricing documentation.
- Act as a key contact for internal and external audits, statutory audits, and tax audits.
- Support SOX compliance activities and contribute to the continuous development of our Internal Control System (ICS).
- Help strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with Group Accounting, Tax, Business Controlling, HR, and our international Finance Shared Service Center.
- Partner with stakeholders across functions to resolve accounting and reporting matters.
- Support international finance projects and global transformation initiatives.
- Contribute to finance process improvements and standardization efforts.
- Plan and monitor portfolio cost centers, including variance analysis and follow-up.
- Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.
- Gradually take ownership of additional legal entities and business areas.
- Support the implementation of new finance tools, processes, and reporting solutions.
Our requirements
- 3+ years of experience in accounting, finance, audit, or a related area.
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Controlling, or a related field.
- Experience working in an international organization or a shared services environment.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end accounting processes and financial reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.
- Experience with SAP.
- Excellent written and spoken English and communicative German language skills.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate results.
- Ability to work independently while building strong relationships across teams.
- Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous learning and process improvement.
Optional
- Knowledge of Austrian accounting regulations (UGB) and IFRS would be an advantage.
