Job summary

Cisco Warsaw – SD-WAN Cloud Team is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to help build, deploy and manage our SD-WAN cloud infrastructure. You will collaborate with the SD-WAN solution team, cloud development and test teams to orchestrate controllers and services across multi-cloud environments.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years of experience with web applications and public cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), knowledge of IP networking and Linux, and strong scripting skills in Python/Perl/TCL.

Qualifications

• Masters or Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience with web applications/services on public cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/Google).
• 6+ years in operations, technical/customer support roles in Cloud.
• Experience with orchestration, monitoring and troubleshooting of web-based apps/services.
• Knowledge of IP networking, security and access mechanisms.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the SD-WAN solution, cloud development and testing teams to orchestrate controllers and services.
• Maintain and support large-scale SaaS cloud infrastructure and ensure reliability.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize performance across multi-cloud environments.

Meet the Team

Cisco SD-WAN Cloud Team (Previously, Viptela Cloud Team) builds, deploys, and manages the entire SD-WAN cloud infrastructure for enterprises and SPs. With the growth and expansion of SD-WAN, we are looking to expand our team in all aspects. We work with multiple clouds and collaborate with multiple teams including an outsourced ops team. You will work with the SD-WAN solution team, Cloud development and test teams to orchestrate controllers and services for SD-WAN. This management will be through the entire ordering, provisioning, onboarding and complete lifecycle of the controllers.

What You'll Do

You’re deeply motivated Cloud Engineer and passionate about learning and contributing to the business operations with a "can do" attitude. Knowledge of operating large-scale SaaS systems is preferred. Dedication to Quality: Ability to ensure and commit to a higher standard of quality than usual in face of tough customer production situations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Masters / bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar field.
• 6+ years of proven experience with web applications/services and public cloud platforms: AWS/Azure/Google
• 6+ years of relevant experience with operations, technical/customer support roles Cloud.
• Experience with orchestration, monitoring and troubleshooting of web-based applications/services.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with private cloud platforms such as VMWare and Open stack.
• Strong competence, and proficiency with Python/Perl/TCL and Linux/Unix Administration.
• Strong team building skills, with the ability to work across departments and other teams.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work independently with minimal managerial guidance.
• Strong sense of ownership and teamwork.
