Job summary

EY is seeking a strategic Architect within the EY Fabric post-sales organization to define developer experience patterns that enable teams to build, deploy, and operate on EY Fabric consistently. You will create golden paths, reusable tooling, onboarding models, and workflows to accelerate delivery across engagements.

The role focuses on creating easy-to-consume DevEx patterns that improve speed, quality, security, and consistency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, DevSecOps, platform engineering, or architecture with Python/Java.
• Experience creating reusable developer platform assets, templates, golden paths, or accelerators.
• Cloud, DevOps, GitHub, or Kubernetes certifications preferred.
• Modern AI practices, including understanding of LLMs/RAG concepts.

Responsibilities

• Define the EY Fabric DevEx reference architecture across onboarding, repositories, CI/CD, environments, testing, deployment, observability, and handoff.
• Create repeatable DevEx patterns reusable across post-sales implementations.
• Establish golden paths for common development scenarios including onboarding, pipeline setup, environment provisioning, code promotion, testing, and release management.
• Develop accelerators such as repository scaffolds, pipeline templates, starter kits, sample implementations, onboarding checklists, deployment guides, and troubleshooting playbooks.
• Ensure DevEx accelerators are simple and usable for Forward Deployed Engineers and delivery teams.
• Define standards for GitHub, CI/CD, branching, code review, artifact management, secrets handling, deployment approvals, and release governance.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to align DevEx patterns with platform capabilities and roadmap direction.
• Identify recurring friction and convert it into reusable tooling and documentation.
• Provide technical leadership to DevEx Architects and contributors.

Location: Wroclaw / Katowice - 2 days in office / 3 days remote

The opportunity

You are a strategic Architect within the EY Fabric post-sales organization, accountable for defining the developer experience patterns that help teams build, deploy, and operate on EY Fabric consistently. Your role is to create the golden paths, reusable tooling patterns, delivery accelerators, onboarding models, and developer workflows that allow post-sales teams to execute efficiently without reinventing delivery approaches for each engagement.

This role is focused on creating easy-to-consume DevExpatterns that improve speed, quality, security, and consistency across EY Fabric implementations. You will ensure that developers, Forward Deployed Engineers, and delivery teams have clear guidance, templates, and accelerators for common development and deployment scenarios.

Your key responsibilities

• Define the EY Fabric DevEx reference architecture across developer onboarding, repositories, CI/CD, environments, testing, deployment, observability, and operational handoff
• Create repeatable developer experience patterns that can be reused across post-sales implementations
• Establish golden paths for common EY Fabric development scenarios, including application onboarding, pipeline setup, environment provisioning, code promotion, testing, and release management

• Identify recurring post-sales implementation friction and convert it into reusable tooling, automation, and documentation
• Act as the escalation point for complex DevEx issues that impact delivery velocity, quality, or platform consistency
• Define clear handoff expectations between Domain Architecture and FDE teams for developer platform implementation
• Measure DevEx effectiveness through adoption of golden paths, reduction in bespoke pipelines, onboarding speed, developer feedback, and repeatability of delivery
• Maintain DevEx architecture assets in agreed EY Fabric repositories such as GitHub, SharePoint, Teams, and internal knowledge hubs
• Mentor mid-level DevEx Architects and help build a strong engineering enablement culture within the post-sales team

Analytical and Decision-Making Responsibilities

• Decide which developer workflows should become formal golden paths versus optional guidance
• Evaluate tradeoffs between developer autonomy, governance, security, and platform consistency
• Prioritize DevEx accelerators based on demand, reusability, delivery friction, and adoption impact
• Identify patterns of bespoke tooling and determine how to standardize or rationalize them
• Assess whether existing tools and workflows are fit for scale across multiple segments and geographies

Supervision Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to DevEx Architects and contributors
• Review DevEx accelerators, templates, and golden paths for consistency and usability
• Coach teams on using standard EY Fabric development workflows

Skills and attributes for success

• Must have Python/Java and GitHub and exposure to AI.
• Deep experience in software engineering, DevOps, DevSecOps, and platform engineering
• Strong knowledge of GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, branching strategies, release management, and automation
• Experience building internal developer platforms, reusable templates, engineering standards, or self-service developer capabilities
• Ability to create clean, practical developer documentation and implementation assets
• Strong understanding of secure software delivery practices and operational readiness
• Ability to influence engineering behavior across distributed teams
• Strong communication skills with both engineering and leadership audiences
