Job summary

OneRail USA in Kraków, Poland is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to build, operate, and optimize our cloud platform and deployment pipelines. You will collaborate with Engineering, Security, and Product teams to improve reliability, scalability, and performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps/Platform/SRE roles.
• Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
• Hands-on experience managing Kubernetes in production.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins.
• Infrastructure as Code with Crossplane, Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
• Linux-based systems administration and troubleshooting.
• Observability tools: Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK/OpenTelemetry.
• Scripting with Python, Bash, or Go.
• English & Polish proficiency (B2+).
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
• Build and improve IaC with Crossplane, Terraform, and templating frameworks.
• Deploy and optimize Kubernetes clusters and platform reliability.
• Manage cloud infra across prod and non-prod environments.
• Support Snowflake and database environments for performance and backups.
• Plan database upgrades, patching, and maintenance with minimal disruption.
• Deploy and maintain services like Kafka, RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch.
• Enhance GitOps workflows with ArgoCD for safe deployments.
• Administer Linux-based systems and cloud/on-prem environments.
• Design high availability, DR, and backup strategies.
• Manage networking: VPCs, load balancers, DNS, service meshes.
• Monitor health, perform RCAs, drive reliability improvements.
• Collaborate with Eng, Product, Security, Ops to deliver scalable solutions.
• Integrate systems via APIs and observability tooling.
• Conduct reviews and document standards.
• Create runbooks and architectural diagrams.
• Evaluate cloud-native tech to improve scalability and security.
