Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to own the Checkmarx application security platform, serving as the technical expert for application teams, security teams, vendors and stakeholders.

You will manage platform configuration, upgrades, incident handling, CI/CD integration, vendor coordination, and contribute to SAP Piper pipeline improvements, with remote-friendly, Poland-based hybrid work.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience administering application security platforms such as Checkmarx.
• Experience with CI/CD scan execution and integration troubleshooting.
• Ability to coordinate vendor requests and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Manage central configuration of the platform and ensure smooth day-to-day operation.
• Handle upgrades and maintenance activities to keep the platform running reliably.
• Investigate and resolve issues reported by users.
• Troubleshoot scan execution in CI/CD pipelines.
• Act on operational incidents, including recovery efforts.
• Communicate with Checkmarx vendors regarding issues, feature requests, and timelines.
• Participate in regular vendor meetings and escalate critical issues when needed.
• Contribute to the SAP Piper pipeline solution, including bug fixes and development of new features.
• Configure and troubleshoot scan integrations.
• Suggest improvements related to monitoring, tooling, and features.
• Evaluate new product capabilities and coordinate adoption plans.
• Validate vendor fixes and patches before production deployment, providing feedback that influences product roadmap discussions.
