Toyota Digital HUB & SSC in Wrocław is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to design, implement, govern, and optimize enterprise database systems both on-prem and in the cloud. You will lead migration projects, optimize performance, and ensure data security and compliance across MSSQL and PostgreSQL platforms.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, develop automation scripts, and help steer cloud journeys with a focus on MSSQL and PostgreSQL.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain high-availability SQL databases on-prem and in cloud.
• Define standards and guard rails for multi-engine deployments (MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Aurora).
• Administer SSRS/SSIS/SSAS and optimize BI data flows.
• Lead database migration projects (SQL Server 2012/2016 to 2022).
• Develop automation scripts using PowerShell/T-SQL; code infrastructure as code.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across departments and ensure security/compliance.
• Support application teams on cloud adoption and PaaS vs IaaS choices.
• Improve monitoring and observability of database platforms.

Role Summary

The Senior Database Administrator (DBA) is responsible for the design, implementation, governance, and optimization of enterprise database systems both on-premise and in the cloud. This role ensures the highest levels of data integrity, security, and availability, supporting mission-critical business applications. The Senior DBA will lead migration projects, optimize database performance, ensure compliancy with standards and coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and scalable database solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain (high-available) SQL databases on-premises and in cloud environments.

• Advanced performance troubleshooting and tuning database performance; identify and resolve bottlenecks to ensure optimal operation.
