Job summary

Grid Dynamics seeks a Senior Data Engineer to modernize and unify the global data ecosystem for a premier payments leader. You will architect and deliver a next-gen Data Platform on Databricks (AWS), implement Medallion Architecture, and optimize low-latency analytics with ClickHouse.

You will own end-to-end delivery, drive automated testing, translate business needs into scalable designs, and collaborate with client stakeholders and leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial data engineering experience building enterprise data platforms.
• Hands-on with Databricks, Spark/PySpark, Python and advanced SQL.
• Experience with Medallion Architecture design (Bronze/Silver/Gold).
• Experience with ClickHouse for high-volume analytics.
• Experience with automated testing in data pipelines.
• Ability to translate complex business needs into technical backlog requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design and build production-grade data pipelines on Databricks on AWS.
• Implement Medallion data models (Bronze/Silver/Gold).
• Architect low-latency analytics paths with ClickHouse.
• Establish automated testing and data quality checks.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to refine backlog and requirements.
• Conduct design reviews to ensure reliability and standards.
• Support legacy Hadoop/Kafka reporting while shifting to the new platform.
