Sii Poland is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to design and optimize cutting-edge data platforms. You will lead data projects, build scalable pipelines and collaborate with customer teams in a dynamic, client-facing role.

You will work with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse and Azure Data Factory, leveraging SQL and Python to deliver enterprise-grade data solutions with CI/CD and governance in mind. This role supports remote work from Poland.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python development.
• Experience building and supporting enterprise data pipelines and transformation frameworks.
• Understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modeling and lakehouse architectures.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps or GitHub-based CI/CD processes.
• Knowledge of Azure security, governance and networking fundamentals.
• Strong communication skills with customer stakeholders and delivery teams.
• Fluent Polish and English; residency in Poland.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and optimize modern data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, and Azure Data Factory.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines, notebooks, dataflows and transformation processes.
• Support scalable lakehouse, warehousing and analytics solutions.
• Collaborate with Data Architects, Senior Data Engineers and customer engineering teams.
• Implement engineering best practices, including source control, CI/CD and automated deployments.
• Apply secure engineering approaches and support data governance and GDPR.
• Produce technical documentation and support ongoing development of customer data platforms.
• Participate in Agile delivery activities and contribute to Data & AI practice standards.

You will work on multiple projects simultaneously, leading one of them while designing and optimizing modern data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Synapse. Your expertise will contribute to building and supporting enterprise data pipelines and transformation frameworks. Your tasks

• Designing, building, and optimizing modern data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, and Azure Data Factory
• Developing and maintaining data pipelines, notebooks, dataflows, and transformation processes
• Supporting the development of scalable lakehouse, warehousing, and analytics solutions
• Collaborating with Data Architects, Senior Data Engineers, and customer engineering teams
• Implementing engineering best practices, including source control, CI/CD, and automated deployments
• Applying secure engineering approaches and supporting data governance, GDPR, and data classification requirements
• Producing technical documentation and supporting the ongoing development and optimization of customer data platforms

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering
• Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Synapse
• Proficiency in SQL and Python development
• Experience building and supporting enterprise data pipelines and transformation frameworks
• Understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and lakehouse architectures
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps or GitHub-based CI/CD processes
• Good understanding of Azure security, governance, and networking fundamentals
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with customer stakeholders and delivery teams
• Fluent Polish and English
• Residency in Poland
