Job summary

Capgemini is seeking a Senior Snowflake Cloud Engineer to lead the design of next‑generation cloud data platforms.

You will influence architectural decisions, set technical standards, and leverage Snowflake, cloud‑native services, and AI capabilities to solve complex data challenges at scale.

You will join the Insights & Data organization, delivering state‑of‑the‑art data solutions across industries. Our expertise spans Cloud and Big Data engineering, where we build robust systems capable of processing extensive and complex datasets using cloud services across AWS, Azure, and GCP. Our work covers the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), utilizing ETL tools, programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java, and DevOps best practices.

Your role

Join us as a Senior Snowflake Cloud Engineer and take a leading role in designing next‑generation cloud data platforms. This is a position for an experienced engineer who wants to shape architectural decisions, set technical standards, and leverage the full power of Snowflake, cloud‑native services, and cutting‑edge AI capabilities. Your task

• Designing, developing, and maintaining Snowflake data pipelines supporting key business functions.
• Working closely with cross‑functional teams to gather data requirements and build scalable cloud solutions.
• Optimizing data models and schemas to ensure performance, efficiency, and cost‑effectiveness in Snowflake environments.
• Ensuring data quality, integrity, and security throughout the data lifecycle.
• Implementing monitoring and alerting mechanisms to proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Planning and executing migrations from on‑premises data warehouses to Snowflake.
• Developing solutions involving AI, Machine Learning, and Generative AI aligned with business needs.
• Staying current with Snowflake best practices and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement.

Your profile

• Experience working with Big Data or Cloud projects involving large and/or unstructured datasets.
• Strong understanding of Snowflake’s pricing model and cost optimization strategies.
• Practical ability to design and implement data transformation pipelines using native Snowflake features or partner services.
• Familiarity with Snowflake’s security model.
• Knowledge of at least one public cloud platform (Storage, Compute/Serverless, Networking, DevOps).
• Working knowledge of SQL and at least one programming language: Python, Scala, Java, or Bash.
• Very good command of English.
