Job summary

ITConnect is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and operate our Sustainability Data Foundation (SDF) on a Databricks platform. The role emphasizes data products, pipelines, governance, and auditable reporting for sustainability initiatives.

You will own end-to-end delivery—from design through production support—working with a Sustainability Data & AI team to ensure data accuracy, quality, and scalable solutions across ERP, procurement, and external systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and operating data platforms and pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks in production environments.
• Proficiency in PySpark and SQL for data transformation.
• Strong knowledge of Git-based development and version control practices.
• Experience with automated testing, deployment pipelines, and release management.
• Understanding of data lineage, metadata management, governance, and auditing.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable data products using Databricks, Delta Lake, and PySpark.
• Develop data models, transformation frameworks, and reusable engineering patterns.
• Create and maintain data pipelines from ERP, procurement, sustainability, and external systems.
• Implement automated data quality controls and CI/CD pipelines.
• Support platform governance, security controls, and operational standards.
