Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our data engineering team in a fast-growing environment where data is the main product. You will build and maintain robust data pipelines on Azure Databricks and contribute to the data model that delivers trusted datasets to clients.

You will collaborate with engineers, data analysts, and product owners, mentor junior team members, and help optimize performance, security, and cost across the data platform.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of data engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of Spark, Databricks, Snowflake, dbt and Python.
• Experience designing Delta Lake, Iceberg, HDFS based solutions.
• Proven ability to lead complex data projects and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Experience in technical leadership and mentoring team members.
• Very good command of English (C1).
• Willingness to visit Krakow office once a month.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop advanced data pipelines in Azure Databricks.
• Create scalable lakehouse architectures and data models.
• Define standards and best practices for Data Engineering.
• Collaborate with analytics, science and product teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical support.
• Improve performance, reliability, security, and cost of the data platform.
