Job summary

FinTech Client #3, represented by SD Solutions, seeks a Senior Data Engineer to own data integrity and automation across critical compliance and legal processes. You will design scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, modernize architectures, and drive production-grade data workflows to reduce manual operations.

You will partner with Legal, Compliance, and Engineering to translate complex requirements into reliable technical solutions, leveraging Snowflake, DBT, Airflow, and cloud tech to scale data

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• 4+ years of Python and SQL experience.
• 4+ years of experience in data modeling and building scalable ELT/ETL pipelines on Snowflake.
• 3+ years of experience designing and managing automated data pipelines using Apache Airflow (Python).
• DBT experience — required. 3+ years developing scalable, production-grade data models with DBT.
• Hands-on experience with cloud environments (AWS preferred) and big data technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills in large-scale systems.
• Proficiency with Git and modern source control.
• Basic Linux/Unix system administration skills.
• Familiarity with LLM-assisted coding tools.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Design and build data solutions and ETLs that ensure regulatory compliance and legal process automation (e.g., IVV, Due Diligence).
• Data integrity and scale: oversee large datasets and complex pipelines across critical systems.

On behalf of FinTech Client #3, SD Solutions is looking for a talented Senior Data Engineer.

This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of technology, compliance, and data. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will take ownership of ensuring the integrity of critical processes - such as Compliance Control, Due Diligence, Legal Automation, and more. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of these systems, driving both architectural modernization and day-to-day stability. Your work will range from designing new automated capabilities to rigorously refactoring existing flows, deep-diving into complex logic to optimize alerts, and ensuring our production environment remains robust at scale. We are looking for someone who enjoys diversity, wants to understand the "business behind the code," and is eager to replace manual operations with sophisticated, event-driven automation.

Responsibilities

• Design & Build: Lead the design and implementation of data solutions and ETLs that ensure regulatory compliance and legal process automation (e.g., IVV, Due Diligence).
• Data Integrity & Scale: Work with large datasets and oversee complex data pipelines, ensuring absolute data integrity across critical financial systems.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Legal, Compliance, and engineering teams to translate complex regulatory requirements into accurate, high-quality technical solutions.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• 4+ years of Python and SQL experience.
• 4+ years of experience in data modeling and building scalable ELT/ETL pipelines on Snowflake.
• 3+ years of experience designing and managing automated data pipelines using Apache Airflow (Python).
• DBT experience — required. 3+ years developing scalable, production-grade data models with DBT.
• Hands-on experience with cloud environments (AWS preferred) and big data technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills in large-scale systems.
• Proven experience packaging applications with Docker and utilizing Argo Workflows to automate, execute, and monitor containerized task sequences.
• Experience with design patterns and coding best practices.
• Proficiency with Git and modern source control.
• Basic Linux/Unix system administration skills.
• Familiarity with LLM-assisted coding tools.
• B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
