Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking an experienced data architect to lead enterprise data architecture development and adoption in a regulated, research-driven setting. You will shape data strategy, establish scalable management frameworks, and enable data-driven initiatives across business functions.

You will guide teams in data modeling, governance, and semantic consistency, enabling reliable data assets for analytics and AI initiatives. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data architecture within regulated industries.
• Strong knowledge of modern data architectures including distributed platforms.
• Experience with cloud data environments, data modeling, and SQL.
• Understanding of governance, master data, metadata, lineage and data quality.
• Experience supporting R&D or scientific data in regulated contexts.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve enterprise data architecture principles, standards, and governance.
• Design scalable data solutions for reporting, analytics, and operations.
• Translate business needs into reusable data products and models.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced professional to lead the development and adoption of enterprise-wide data architecture practices within a highly regulated, research-driven environment. In this role, you will help shape the organization's data strategy, establish scalable information management frameworks, and support the delivery of data-driven initiatives across multiple business functions. You will work closely with both business and technology teams to ensure that data assets are reliable, accessible, and ready to support advanced analytics and emerging AI solutions.

Your tasks

• Define and evolve enterprise data architecture principles, standards, and governance practices
• Design scalable data solutions that support reporting, analytics, and operational processes
• Translate business needs into reusable, high-quality data products and information models
• Guide teams in adopting consistent data structures, semantic frameworks, and architectural best practices
• Collaborate with stakeholders across business and technology domains to drive data-related initiatives
• Identify opportunities to improve data capabilities and support the development of an AI-ready data ecosystem

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in data architecture, data management, analytics, or related areas within a highly regulated industry
• Strong knowledge of modern data architecture concepts, including distributed data platforms and scalable data management approaches
• Practical experience with cloud-based data environments, data modeling, and SQL
• Understanding of data governance, reference and master data management, metadata, lineage, and data quality practices
• Experience supporting research, development, or scientific data domains and working within regulated compliance frameworks
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken
