Merck & Co., Inc. is seeking a Senior Specialist, Data Architect to lead and execute the build, integration, and maintenance of clinical databases and operational systems.

You will drive data integration, transformations, and enterprise-wide standards across EDC, RTSM, and eCOA/ePRO environments. The role requires expert SQL/Python/SAS/R skills, design of data models, and guidance on testing/validation in a regulated setting.

Qualifications

• Non-Degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience in clinical data programming, data engineering, or related data-management/clinical operations functions.
• OR Associate's Degree with a minimum of 7 years of experience in clinical data programming, data engineering, or related data-management/clinical operations functions.
• OR Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical data programming, data engineering, or related data-management/clinical operations functions.
• OR Advanced degree (Masters or Doctorate) with a minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical development and/or clinical data programming, data engineering, or related data-management/clinical operations functions.

Responsabilités

• Design and deploy clinical technology system solutions (e.g., EDC, RTSM, eCOA/ePRO) using programming/reporting frameworks and automation tools.
• Implement and validate complex data logic with fit-for-purpose scripting and validation frameworks.
• Develop advanced reporting solutions (dashboards, listings, visual analytics) with reusable components.
• Define and optimize integration architecture, data sources, and transformation workflows across systems.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data ingestion and consumption to improve reliability.
• Lead testing strategies and automate validation; ensure traceability from requirements to evidence.
