Sii Poland is seeking a Senior Data Architect to lead a strategic Azure-based data platform transformation, driving governance, data products, and enterprise analytics. You will shape end-to-end architecture and collaborate with cross-functional teams across Poland and beyond.

The role requires deep expertise in Azure data services, Python, Spark, SQL, and modern data patterns, with a strong focus on security, compliance, and scalable data products.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in senior data architecture or leadership role.
• Hands-on with Azure data services and modern cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT, streaming, Medallion architecture and Data Product design.
• Programming in Python, Spark and SQL.
• Excellent English.
• Wrocław office visits quarterly.

Responsibilities

• Define and govern end-to-end Azure data architecture, including data ingestion, integration, transformation, and Medallion standards.
• Lead design and development of scalable Data Products and guide teams on ETL/ELT, streaming, and data integration.
• Modernize legacy reporting and data warehouse solutions, migrating from SSIS/SSAS to Azure architectures.
• Provide architectural oversight for supplier-managed SaaS/COTS apps with security and compliance alignment.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, suppliers and technical teams to evolve the platform.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Architect to join a strategic data transformation initiative focused on building and governing a modern Azure-based Data Platform that supports enterprise-wide data products, analytics, and reporting.

Your tasks

• Define and govern end-to-end Azure data architecture, including data ingestion, integration, transformation, and Medallion architecture standards
• Lead the design and development of scalable Data Products and guide engineering teams on best practices for ETL/ELT, streaming, and data integration
• Drive the modernization of legacy reporting and data warehouse solutions, including migration from SSIS and SSAS environments to modern Azure architectures
• Provide architectural oversight for supplier-managed SaaS/COTS applications, ensuring secure onboarding, compliance, and technical alignment
• Collaborate with stakeholders, suppliers, and technical teams to support platform evolution, security initiatives, and audit requirements

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Senior Data Architect or in a similar architecture leadership role
• Strong hands- on expertise with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Event Hub, Azure Storage, Azure Functions, and modern cloud data platforms
• Excellent knowledge of ETL/ELT frameworks, streaming technologies, data integration patterns, Medallion architecture, and Data Product design principles
• Strong programming and data engineering skills in Python, Spark, and SQL
• Very good command in English
• A visit to the Wrocław office is required once every quarter

Nice to have

• Experience with Power BI, API Gateways
