Who are we looking for
We are looking for an experienced Data Architect / Data Modeler to support enterprise-wide data transformation initiatives within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sector. This role focuses on designing, maintaining, and optimizing data architectures and models to enable high-quality reporting and business services transformation. You will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and Power BI developers to ensure data assets are structured, governed, and aligned with evolving business needs.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models aligned with business requirements.
- Continuously improve and adapt data models based on evolving business and regulatory needs.
- Define and manage key data architecture artifacts such as Source-to-Target Mapping (STTM), data flows, and data inventory.
- Ensure consistency, traceability, and governance across data assets and systems.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and identify critical data elements.
- Work closely with data engineers to support implementation and deployment of data solutions.
- Support data migration and enterprise data architecture redesign initiatives (including ESG-related transformations).
- Recommend and implement best practices in Data Governance and data quality management.
- Manage documentation and lifecycle/versioning of data models and architecture artifacts.
- Contribute to backlog management and support agile delivery processes.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Architect or Data Modeler, preferably in a consulting or transformation environment.
- Strong expertise in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling.
- Hands‑on experience with tools such as Databricks and ERwin Data Modeler.
- Experience working with data catalog and governance tools (e.g., Atlan, Alation, Unity Catalog).
- Solid understanding of Data Lakehouse architecture.
- Experience with data architecture artifacts (STTM, data flows, data inventory).
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on data quality and usability.
- Ability to collaborate with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Proactive, ownership-driven mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Fluency in English.
Certificates (at least one of the below)
- Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate / Professional
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate
- Snowflake: SnowPro Core Certification
Nice to have
- Experience in product backlog management (Jira, Azure DevOps).
- Background as a Data Analyst or Business Analyst.
- Experience with ServiceNow.
- Experience working in CPG or ESG-related data domains.
