Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking a Senior Data Architect to lead customer-focused data architecture using Microsoft Fabric and Azure. You will guide the delivery team with high-level designs, data models, and documentation, while engaging with clients through discovery sessions.

The role requires hands-on experience with Azure data services, Kimball modeling, and modern data engineering patterns, with strong communication skills and English fluency. Poland residency is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in data architecture.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and Azure data services.
• Expertise in Kimball dimensional modeling and data warehousing.
• Proficiency with Medallion architecture and modern data engineering patterns.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the technical authority for data architecture and design throughout the project lifecycle.
• Leading customer discovery, requirements gathering, and envisioning sessions.
• Building relationships with customer stakeholders and communicating confidently with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Translating business requirements into clear technical requirements, architectures, and delivery approaches.
• Producing high-quality HLDs, architecture diagrams, data flows, data models, and documentation.
• Designing Microsoft Fabric solutions using Lakehouse, OneLake, and Medallion patterns.
• Defining dimensional models using Kimball principles (facts, dimensions, star schemas, grain, surrogate keys, SCD).
• Documenting architectural decisions, including rationale, assumptions, dependencies, and risks.
