Thomson Reuters Corp. in Gdansk seeks a Senior Counsel to advise on and negotiate complex SaaS, software, data and technology agreements for global product sales.

You will be a hands-on lawyer in a dynamic, data-driven legal department, supporting Sales, Product Management and other business teams to simplify and expedite contracting. The role requires 7+ years post-qualification experience on the sell side, strong English, and solid expertise in SaaS and commercial law.

Competenze

• 7 years minimum post-qualification experience in private practice and/or as in-house counsel advising on the sell side of technology transactions.
• Excellent written/verbal English language communication skills.
• German, French or Spanish language skills or experience in these jurisdictions is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of contract and commercial law, especially SaaS products and solutions.
• Excellent negotiation and drafting skills.
• Ability to think strategically and creatively to resolve issues.
• Authorization to practice law.
• Experience negotiating data processing, data protection and cybersecurity clauses incl. GDPR and data transfers, knowledge of US privacy laws is advantageous.

The role sits within the Customers & Commercial team of the Thomson Reuters General Counsel Office, a highly collaborative team focused on enabling business growth and mitigating risk for the customer-centric commercial group. To be successful in this role you should have the experience and capability to handle a broad range of legal and compliance matters. **Key Responsibilities** In this opportunity as Senior Legal Counsel, you will: * Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of customer facing and partner agreements, primarily complex software (including SaaS) and information licensing agreements, data protection and security, hosting, content acquisition, consulting and professional services agreements, non- disclosure agreements and other commercial agreements relating to sales of Thomson Reuters products and services.* Work within the Customers & Commercial team identifying legal, regulatory and compliance requirements and risks associated with various business initiatives and developing and implementing appropriate mitigation strategies. The base compensation range varies across locations.For Poland, the base compensation range for this role is 203,000 PLN - 377,000 PLN.Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
