Job summary

Bayer Digital Hub Warsaw is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer Analytics & AI Platform to enable and manage Azure cloud services on a globally scalable data, analytics & AI platform. You will work with data engineers, data architects and data scientists to implement features and CI/CD practices.

You will contribute to platform roadmap, enable services on Azure & Databricks, ensure security, cost efficiency and compliance, and train operations teams with thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar
• 3-5 years of working experience in Microsoft Azure Cloud development (infrastructure as code)
• Proficient knowledge of the Data Platform Stack (ML, Databricks, Data Factory) and Application Development Stack (Container Apps, Web Apps)
• Coding skills in PowerShell, Azure Resource Manager/ARM, Bicep, Terraform, and CI/CD
• Experience with Data Modelling / Data Warehousing / Data Science; Snowflake is a plus
• Strong problem solving, analytical, and business judgement
• Excellent documentation & communication skills; intercultural awareness and willingness to travel
• Fluent in English, written & spoken

Responsibilities

• Contribute to platform roadmap with cloud architects and derive requirements for missing capabilities
• Plan, design and enable services on Azure Cloud Platform & Databricks based on requirements, ensuring security, cost efficiency, and scalability
• Engage with platform operations to implement and deploy changes
• Train operations team and provide documentation for new features
• Ensure platform compliance with guidelines and governance
• Collaborate with partners and central cloud teams to resolve issues and follow best practices
