Job summary

Hitachi Energy Services is seeking a Senior C++ Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-performance software solutions. You will lead the full software development lifecycle, influence architecture, and ensure code quality across distributed systems.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in C++ software development, strong knowledge of modern C++, Linux/Unix proficiency, and experience with Git, testing (Google Test), and debugging tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in C++ software development.
• Proficient in C++11/14/17/20, with OO design, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience with multi-threading, concurrency, and performance optimization.
• Solid understanding of Linux/Unix OS and network programming.
• Experience with Git and agile development methodologies.
• Familiarity with unit testing frameworks (Google Test) and debugging tools.
• Experience with embedded systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and implementation of complex software modules using C++.
• Architect and optimize software for performance, scalability, and reliability in distributed systems.
• Conduct thorough code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and architectural guidelines.
• Collaborate with product management, QA, and other engineering teams to define requirements and deliver solutions.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automation.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and apply them to enhance software offerings.
