GlobalLogic in Kraków seeks a Senior C/C++ Engineer to join a product team delivering advanced energy applications and real‑time systems. You will work with software engineers, scientists, and product management to create smarter, greener solutions.

The role emphasizes performance, scalability, and secure architecture across Linux/Windows. The position requires 8+ years in senior roles, strong English, and ability to work from the Kraków office at least two days a week.

Qualifications

Available to work from Krakow office at least 2 days per week.
University degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field.
8+ years of experience in senior technical roles.
Advanced proficiency in modern C++ (C++17/20) with RAII, smart pointers, STL, concurrency, and memory management.
Strong experience with multithreading, synchronization, asynchronous I/O and real-time system design.
Knowledge and experience in secure and scalable software architecture design.
Development and maintenance of complex engineering applications.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to tackle complex technical challenges.
Proficiency with building systems (CMake, Visual Studio) and cross‑platform development for Windows and Linux.
Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture patterns.
Demonstrated experience with performance profiling, optimization, and low‑latency systems.
Good understanding of unit and integration testing techniques and testing frameworks.
Knowledge of non‑functional requirements (performance, scalability, security).
Proven ability to translate customer requirements into clear technical designs.
Effective team player with strong communication skills and willingness to learn.
Excellent command of English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

Develop system design in areas like multithreading, synchronization, I/O, and latency requirements for real‑time operation.
Develop high‑performance C++ cores to managed runtime services (.NET, RUST) with minimal latency overhead.
Implement performance optimization and scalability: profile threading behavior, minimizing lock contention, reducing memory allocations in critical paths, and ensure predictable latency at scale.
Practical usage of modern programming practices and techniques based on the latest C++ standard.
Maintain high code quality through code reviews, unit testing, and adherence to SOLID, KISS, DRY and industry best practices.
Participate in system design, best practices and maintaining code quality in performance‑critical sections.
Participate in technical architecture reviews, design documentation, and roadmaps for feature development, refactoring initiatives, and legacy code modernization.
Collaborate with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to transform requirements into clear architectural designs.
Support strategic technology decisions on dependencies, build tooling, dependency management, and secure software supply chain practices.
Maintain cross‑platform support: drive modernization of build systems, ensure consistency across multiple deployment environments, and support Linux/Windows compatibility.
Practical Linux development and deployment strategies.
Contribute to achieving business goals by designing, developing, and delivering high‑quality software solutions.
Continuously enhance existing systems and contribute to the creation of new features.
Work effectively within an agile environment, continually expanding your technical expertise and understanding of the business domain.
Actively participate in a cross‑disciplinary team and contribute to shared objectives.
