Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior BIOS Engineer to support the BIOS and Firmware Security Team. You will review signing requests, analyze BIOS/EC images for production vs test, and validate against baselines to ensure secure signing workflows.

You will coordinate with internal teams for additional validation, maintain audit records, and assist with access management. The role requires strong communication and 4+ years in BIOS/firmware security, with a hybrid arrangement in Poland.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in cybersecurity with BIOS/Firmware security focus.
• Experience with pre-boot environments (UEFI), embedded firmware, or device drivers.
• Strong ability to review and approve firmware images and communicate decisions.

Responsibilities

• Review BIOS and Embedded Controller signing requests submitted through the internal portal prior to signing approval.
• Analyze BIOS and Embedded Controller images to determine production vs test versioning requiring expedited processing.
• Validate BIOS and Embedded Controller images against approved baselines in internal repositories/databases.
• Compare incoming images with previously approved versions using internal analysis tools.
• Identify image modifications and assess whether changes are limited to non-security-critical functionality.
• Approve signing requests when images align with previously reviewed versions.
• Escalate images with significant modifications for formal security review.
• Coordinate with internal teams regarding images requiring additional validation.
• Support onboarding, offboarding, and access approval processes for application users, update permissions, and perform periodic access reviews.
• Maintain access control documentation and audit records supporting firmware signing activities.
• Document approval decisions and maintain audit records to support firmware signing activities.
• Support BIOS and firmware investigations and security review activities.
