Job summary

Altium Limited is hiring a Senior Backend Software Engineer to build cloud-native backend services for Altium 365 in a multi-tenant, distributed cloud environment. You will collaborate with product managers, architects and engineers to deliver scalable features and robust APIs.

You will work with Java and AWS, contribute to architecture decisions, code reviews, and continuous improvement, and help advance engineering practices across the team.

Qualifications

Experience designing and developing backend services and APIs.
Experience with AWS services such as EC2, ECS and RDS.
Understanding of microservices and multi-tenant architectures.
Experience with relational databases, preferably MySQL.
Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Experience working with distributed systems and production cloud environments.

Responsibilities

Work with Java, AWS, multi-tenant architecture, and distributed high-load systems.
Solve technical challenges at the intersection of engineering software, electronics, and cloud services.
Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other engineers to deliver reliable, scalable features.
In a team, contribute to technical decisions, code reviews, and continuous improvement.
Share knowledge and help strengthen the team’s engineering practices.
