You will mentor engineers and partner with mobile, data, and cloud teams to scale our backend for real-time, high-throughput operations.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years in backend engineering with architect experience.

Responsibilities

• Own backend architecture, data flows, and service boundaries.
• Set API design standards and inter-service integration.
• Define backend conventions, testing, error handling and docs.
• Design for throughput, latency, and failure, fixing bottlenecks.
• Choose storage solutions and data ownership between services.
• Define how LLMs fit into backend including tool-calling patterns.
• Establish coding agent usage, repo context, and guardrails.
• Track architectural risks and technical debt with actionable plans.
• Evaluate frameworks and third-party services for adoption.
• Collaborate with mobile, data, cloud, and product teams to fit backend needs.
• Review designs and mentor engineers.
