Job summary

Outokumpu is a global leader in sustainable stainless steel, driving the green transition. We seek a data engineer to design and maintain scalable data pipelines, build lakehouse architectures, and modernize data platforms across SAP, databases, and cloud sources.

You will collaborate with analytics and business teams, implement governance and CI/CD practices, and work from our Katowice area office with a hybrid schedule. Excellent SQL, Databricks, PySpark and Delta Lake skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong data engineering experience with enterprise data platforms.
• Proven ability to design and implement production-grade ETL/ELT pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure, Databricks, PySpark and SQL.
• Develop ETL/ELT solutions and integrate data from SAP, databases, APIs and cloud platforms.
• Build modern lakehouse architectures with Databricks and Delta Lake.
• Modernize data platforms and migrate legacy warehouses to Azure.
• Optimize data pipelines, Spark workloads and SQL performance.
• Implement data governance, security and monitoring.
• Contribute to CI/CD, automation and engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with platform, analytics and business teams to deliver reliable data solutions.
