Senior AWS Python Backend Engineer (MedTech)

Location: Poland

Contract: B2B – 140 – 160 PLN net/hour + VAT

Company Overview: Holisticon Connect is a division within NEXER GROUP, a custom software development company started in Poland in 2017. We have 140+ people and work with world‑renowned brands from Scandinavia, the UK, and Western Europe.

Responsibilities

• Join a project for a biopharmaceutical client to develop a platform focused on data exploration and visualization that supports insight into genomic drivers of common diseases.
• Design and implement event‑driven, serverless services using AWS (Step Functions, Lambda, EC2, S3, ECR, CloudFormation, CDK).
• Containerise workloads and build CI/CD pipelines with Docker.
• Write clean Python 3.x code, develop APIs, and work with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB).
• Use Git, GitHub, and Kanban to manage source control and workflows.
• Collaborate with teammates and client representatives in Poland, the UK, and Sweden.

Qualifications

• 4+ years professional backend software development experience with Python.
• Strong understanding of event‑driven architecture.
• In‑depth knowledge of AWS cloud services and solutions.
• Hands‑on containerisation experience with Docker.
• Proficient in Unix shell scripting (Bash).
• Solid knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Good written and spoken English (B2+).
• Located in Poland for easy contract signing and occasional meetings.

Preferred Skills

• Technical leadership.
• Experience with Pandas, NumPy, Dask, Elasticsearch.
• Active Directory and PowerShell skills.
• Data engineering experience.
