Job summary

Salve.Lab is seeking a Senior AWS Platform Engineer to design, build and evolve production cloud platforms at scale. You’ll work hands-on across AWS, Kubernetes/EKS, IaC and platform engineering, owning cloud environments from design to production.

You’ll build reusable infrastructure and developer platforms, automate provisioning, improve reliability and observability, and enable engineers to deploy without becoming infra experts.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on production experience with AWS and Kubernetes/EKS.
• Experience designing or significantly evolving production cloud infrastructure.
• Solid Terraform experience and GitOps workflows.
• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and observability tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and evolve production infrastructure on AWS.
• Architect and operate Kubernetes/EKS platforms for production workloads.
• Build reusable infrastructure using Terraform and IaC principles.
• Develop scalable cloud foundations including networking, IAM, compute, storage.
• Improve GitOps delivery workflows with ArgoCD or FluxCD.
• Automate CI/CD using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins or similar.
• Create reusable platform components enabling self-serve for engineers.
• Enhance platform reliability, security and performance.
• Establish observability with metrics, logs, traces and alerts.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues across Kubernetes and cloud infra.
• Contribute to incident response, disaster recovery and production readiness.
• Identify cloud cost optimisation opportunities and efficient resource use.
• Work with engineers and stakeholders on infrastructure decisions.
• Contribute to architecture decisions beyond predefined tickets.
• Use Python, Bash or Go to automate workflows.
• Set engineering standards for cloud infra, Kubernetes and IaC.
