Job summary

DCG Poland is seeking a Senior Architect for Data Products and Domain APIs in Warsaw. You will define and evolve architecture across data, APIs and domains, leading multiple teams and delivery streams to align business capabilities with technology platforms.

The role requires extensive experience in data architecture, API governance, and enterprise-scale solutions, with strong English communication and banking tech awareness. On-site collaboration and ongoing consultancy support are offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Solution, Domain or Enterprise Architecture.
• Proven track record in enterprise-scale data, API and integration solutions.
• Experience leading architecture across multiple teams, products or domains.
• Strong knowledge of data products, APIs and integration patterns.
• Experience with API governance and domain boundaries.
• Understanding of event-driven, service-oriented architectures.
• Good knowledge of security, scalability, resilience, availability and performance.
• Experience in regulated environments with strong data governance.
• Banking tech understanding is beneficial.
• Very good English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the architecture vision, principles and roadmap for Data Products and Domain APIs.
• Lead end-to-end architecture across multiple domains, products and delivery streams, ensuring alignment between business capabilities, data assets, APIs and technology platforms.
• Coordinate solution architecture activities and provide architectural guidance to architects and engineering teams working within individual delivery streams.
• Identify system interfaces, data flows, dependencies and integration requirements across domains and support teams in evaluating architectural alternatives.
• Establish architecture patterns and standards for domain-owned data products, ensuring they are discoverable, reusable, governed and reliable.
• Define data ownership, product boundaries, data quality expectations, metadata, lineage and lifecycle responsibilities.
• Promote modern data architecture practices, including data product thinking and domain ownership.
• Define and maintain API-first architecture principles, API design standards, governance and lifecycle management practices.
• Guide teams in defining domain boundaries, API contracts, versioning strategies, security mechanisms and reusable integration patterns.
• Ensure APIs and integration solutions are scalable, secure, resilient, observable and easy to consume.
• Support event-driven and service-oriented architecture approaches where appropriate.
• Define functional and non-functional architectural requirements covering availability, performance, security, scalability, resilience and operability.
• Define solution components, interfaces and responsibilities while ensuring alignment with the wider enterprise architecture.
• Develop and maintain the architectural runway required for sustainable delivery and future technology evolution.
• Support Continuous Delivery and DevOps through pragmatic architecture guidelines, automation and appropriate architectural enablers.
• Contribute to solution planning, high-level design, architecture reviews and continuous exploration activities.
• Communicate complex architectural decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Mentor architects and engineering teams and support decentralised architectural decision-making within clearly defined guardrails.

Requirements:

• Experience leading architecture across multiple teams, products or domains
• Strong knowledge of data architecture, data products, APIs and integration patterns
• Experience with API governance, domain boundaries and reusable architecture standards
• Good understanding of event-driven, service-oriented and distributed architectures
• Strong knowledge of security, scalability, resilience, availability and performance requirements
• Experience in complex, regulated environments with strong data governance requirements
• Good understanding of banking technology and business processes
• Very good English communication skill
