General Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Applications System Administrator to oversee and administer a portfolio of cross-functional global enterprise applications. This role will provide tier 2 support, troubleshoot technical issues in collaboration with vendors, maintain system health and performance, manage application licenses and contract renewals, and guide business users on leveraging applications to meet their operational needs.

This role requires a hands‑on professional with strong application administration skills, excellent problem‑solving abilities, and a proven track record of supporting and optimizing enterprise applications with a customer‑centric focus in a global, multi‑time‑zone, fast‑pace environment.
Essential Functions of the job
Application Administration & Support
- Serve as the primary administrator for a portfolio of enterprise applications (examples listed above), ensuring ongoing availability, security, and performance.
- Manage user onboarding/offboarding along with our SSO team to ensure frictionless user experience with adherence to all BeOne security framework.
- Provide product ownership support under guidance of application business and system owners to ensure each application is used effectively and efficiently, ensuring the application meets the requirements of the business.
- Provide Tier 2 support to resolve application issues escalated from the Service Desk; collaborate with vendors for advanced troubleshooting and resolution.
- Monitor system performance, execute routine health checks, and apply patches, upgrades, and configuration changes as required.
- Manage and maintain application integrations with other enterprise systems and third‑party platforms.
- Develop and maintain application documentation, standard operating procedures, and user guides.
Vendor & License Management
- Manage application vendor relationships, including issue escalation, service requests, and support case tracking.
- Oversee license utilization, renewals, and compliance for all assigned enterprise applications.
- Support the procurement process by coordinating with internal stakeholders and external vendors on contracts and renewals.
User Enablement & Guidance
- Provide functional guidance to business users on how to best utilize enterprise applications to meet operational and strategic objectives.
- Support training initiatives, deliver end‑user education, and promote adoption of best practices across business functions.
- Partner with business stakeholders to assess requirements, identify opportunities for process improvements, and recommend application enhancements.
Operational Excellence
- Troubleshoot and resolve application incidents in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Collaborate with GTS Security, Infrastructure, and Data teams to ensure applications align with compliance, privacy, and security standards.
- Participate in system validation, testing, and change control processes as required.
- Track and report key operational metrics related to application health, performance, and user adoption.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of direct experience administering enterprise applications in a Cloud/SaaS environment.
- Experience supporting a broad application portfolio including collaboration, productivity, workflow, and compliance tools.
- Proven expertise in troubleshooting application issues and working with vendors for resolution.
- Strong knowledge of license management, contracts, and vendor coordination.
- Familiarity with integration technologies (e.g., APIs, ETL tools, scripting) and identity/access management (SSO, LDAP, O365).
- Knowledge of IT controls, data privacy practices, and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOX, GxP, 21 CFR Part 11) is a plus.
Other Qualifications
- Direct hands‑on experience implementing and G&A and/or GxP computerized systems
- Scripting and programming language experience a strong plus
- Strong process improvement skills and orientation
- Must have proven business and technology skills, with success providing customer‑oriented technology solutions environment
- Working understanding of SOX, GAMP and/or 21CFR Part 11
- Working knowledge of authoring computer system validation documentation
