Qualifications

• MSc/PhD in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven delivery of AI/ML systems.
• Strong Python skills.
• Knowledge of agentic frameworks (e.g., LangChain, crew.ai).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation; AWS preferred).
• Experience with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
• Exposure to NLP, CV, and broader AI techniques.
• Experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and ML services (SageMaker).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience in Agile environments.

Senior AI Engineer

At Bayer, we are committed to transparency, equal pay for equal work or work of equal value, and objective reward practices in line with EU and local regulations. The minimum monthly gross compensation for this role is 20 240 PLN, with final pay determined based on objective factors such as experience, qualifications, scope of responsibility, and internal alignment.

This position is eligible for variable pay components, such as performance‑based bonuses, awarded in accordance with the applicable employee group, role scope, and compensation structure.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

AI Solutions

• Lead design and delivery of AI/ML and agentic systems solving complex business problems.
• Build and deploy scalable AI products aligned with business goals.
• Drive adoption of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) for ML/AI industrialization.
• Ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of AI systems in production.

Data Engineering

• Design and oversee scalable data pipelines and architectures.
• Lead data ingestion, preprocessing, and transformation across hybrid environments.
• Implement data quality, validation, and drift detection processes.

Data Science

• Guide model development, evaluation, and optimization.
• Drive experimentation and continuous improvement to enhance model performance.

Integration & Deployment

• Integrate AI solutions into existing systems and workflows.
• Oversee production deployments ensuring best practices and operational excellence.

Collaboration & Communication

• Maintain clear documentation of AI systems and processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and business audiences.

Innovation & Leadership

• Mentor team members and support skill development.
• Stay up to date with AI trends and drive innovation.
• Conduct research to inform future AI initiatives.

WHO YOU ARE

Required:

• MSc/PhD in relevant field, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience as AI/ML Engineer with proven delivery of AI systems.
• Strong Python skills.
• Knowledge of agentic frameworks (e.g., LangChain, crew.ai).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform, Cloud formation). Preferably Terraform + AWS
• Experience with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
• Exposure to NLP, CV, and broader AI techniques.
• Experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and ML services (e.g., SageMaker).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience in Agile environments.

Preferred:
