Wlgroup in Poland is seeking an experienced accountant to run the full books of a Polish sp. z o.o., file VAT, manage payroll and present monthly results to owners via video call.
You will own the accounting cycle, handle multi-currency transactions (EUR revenue, PLN costs), ensure audit readiness and coordinate with external auditors and tax authorities.
This on-site role in Poznań offers an employment contract with benefits and the chance to influence financial controls across Europe.
Tired of closing someone else's books and never being asked what the numbers mean?
Here you run the full books of a Polish sp. z o.o. yourself, and once a month you present the numbers to the owners on a video call. Your judgement matters as much as your reconciliations.
Location: Poznań, Poland · on-site
Employment form: employment contract (umowa o pracę) plus benefits
You build the internal-control environment yourself: payment authorisation, vendor checks, related-party oversight.
You report straight to international ownership, with a direct escalation line to the Group CFO.
Your work is varied: trade-fair projects across Europe, EUR revenue, PLN costs, seasonal cash planning.
Books and statements
Keep the full books of a Polish sp. z o.o. under the Accounting Act (ledgers, fixed assets, accruals, provisions), audit-ready, with every posting traced to a source document.
Track costs per exhibition project (materials, subcontractors, transport, travel) all the way to margin.
Prepare the annual financial statements and work with the external auditor and, where needed, the tax office.
Payroll
Run monthly payroll end to end for employment and civil-law contracts, including per diems for installation trips abroad.
Handle ZUS (Płatnik), PIT-4R, PIT-11 and PPK, reconcile them to gross payroll every month, and flag B2B misclassification risk.
Tax
File JPK_V7M, run split payment and the VAT sub-account, and handle intra-EU transactions (WDT/WNT, VAT-UE) for EUR-invoiced clients.
Calculate CIT advances, support the CIT-8, and keep an eye on related-party and transfer-pricing thresholds (TPR-C).
Cash and controls
Reconcile the PLN, EUR and VAT accounts at least weekly and account for FX on EUR revenue.
Run payments under dual authorisation, with a monthly duplicate-payment check and three-way matching above a set threshold.
Own vendor onboarding (KRS/CEIDG, biała lista, bank account, beneficial owner), the related-party register and the company card policy.
Close the month by working day 5 on a documented checklist, including intercompany confirmations with group companies.
Reporting
Produce the monthly management pack in English by working day 8: P&L vs budget, 13-week cash forecast, project margins, payroll costs, top-10 vendors and related-party transactions.
Present it on a monthly call with the owners, defend every number, and add ad‑hoc analysis on pricing, subcontractors and seasonal cash.
4-6+ years of hands‑on Polish accounting, including at least 2 years running full‑cycle books on your own in a sp. z o.o.
Confident with Polish VAT (JPK_V7, MPP, intra‑EU), ZUS/payroll and CIT.
Experience with multi‑currency bank accounts and EUR revenue against PLN costs.
Strong Excel (pivots, lookups, reconciliations) and a Polish accounting system such as Comarch ERP Optima, Symfonia or enova365.
Native or fully professional Polish, and English at B2 or above: you will write and speak to US‑based management.
Integrity, and the backbone to say "no" when documentation is missing.
Audit experience, even one or two seasons.
Intercompany accounting or transfer‑pricing documentation.
A project‑based industry: construction, fit‑out, events, manufacturing.
ACCA/CIMA (in progress is fine) or a Polish accounting certificate. Valued, not required.
An international company that designs, builds and installs custom exhibition stands for trade fairs across Europe. The Poznań office is the production hub for the group's European entities: clients pay in EUR, costs run in PLN, and the work is project‑driven and seasonal. You start with a supported handover.
