Job summary

Michael Page is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join a growing finance team in Kraków. Reporting to the Head of Accounting, you will support accounting operations, tax compliance, controls, audits, and reporting across an international organization.

The role requires 2–3 years of accounting experience, strong Polish accounting knowledge, and excellent English communication. The position offers hybrid work, a performance bonus, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in accounting, finance, or similar position.
• Good knowledge of Polish accounting standards and tax regulations (VAT & CIT).
• Strong financial controls and reporting processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting activities with compliance to standards and policies.
• Support CAPEX accounting, cost allocation, and reporting.
• Review financial transactions for accuracy and integrity of records.
• Assist in monthly/quarterly/annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support VAT and CIT declarations and tax compliance activities.
• Coordinate with internal/external audits and provide documentation.

Opis stanowiska

• Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and statutory requirements.
• Support the accounting, reconciliation, monitoring, and forecasting of capital expenditures (CAPEX), ensuring accurate project cost allocation and reporting.
• Review and verify financial transactions, maintaining the accuracy and integrity of accounting records and financial data.
• Participate in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, providing reliable information for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support tax compliance activities, including the preparation of VAT and CIT declarations, as well as ensuring adherence to applicable regulations.
• Coordinate and provide documentation for internal and external audits, acting as a key contact for audit-related inquiries.
• Monitor changes in accounting, tax, and financial regulations and contribute to the implementation of necessary updates within the organization.
• Contribute to maintaining strong financial controls, compliance standards, and reporting accuracy across the organization.

Profil kandydata

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a similar position.
• Practical knowledge of Polish accounting standards and tax regulations, particularly VAT and CIT.
• Very good understanding of financial controls and reporting processes.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency in MS Office.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken, enabling daily collaboration in an international environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive attitude, attention to detail, and willingness to improve processes.
