Responsibilities

  • Security Ticket Management: own incoming security requests, triage, route to teams, resolve routine requests, track through closure, provide updates and professional communication.
  • Security Operations Support: assist with vulnerability remediation tracking, status reporting, and policy/standards support.
  • Audit & Compliance Support: assist with internal/external audit activities and remediation tracking.
  • Reporting & Data Analysis: support data collection and recurring/ad hoc leadership reports.

We are seeking a highly motivated Security Operations & Helpdesk Specialist to serve as the primary coordination point for security-related support requests and operational activities. This role acts as the front line of the Information Security team, managing incoming security tickets, triaging requests, resolving issues where possible, and coordinating with subject matter experts to ensure timely resolution.

The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, process-oriented, and comfortable working across multiple security domains including vulnerability management, security assessments, policy/standard support, audit support, reporting, security operation and exception/exemption management.

Key Responsibilities
Security Ticket Management
  • Serve as the primary owner for incoming security requests and support tickets.
  • Triage, prioritize, and route requests to appropriate security teams.
  • Resolve routine security requests and inquiries independently.
  • Track all requests through closure and ensure service level objectives are met.
  • Provide regular status updates and follow-up with stakeholders to drive timely resolution.
  • Provide clear and professional communication with customers and stakeholders.
Security Operations Support
  • Support vulnerability remediation tracking and coordination activities.
  • Assist with penetration test remediation follow-up and status reporting.
  • Support security exception and exemption management processes.
  • Track and manage security findings from bug bounty and responsible disclosure programs.
  • Maintain operational security checklists and workflows.
  • Support security operation and GRC service request.
  • Support policy, standards, and control documentation efforts.
Audit & Compliance Support
  • Support internal and external audit activities.
  • Track audit requests and ensure timely completion.
  • Assist with remediation tracking for audit observations.
Reporting & Data Analysis
  • Support data collection and reporting activities for leadership.
  • Generate recurring and ad hoc operational reports.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills.

  • Experience with audit and compliance support.
  • Experience creating dashboards, metrics, and reports.
