interop.io is seeking a Security & Compliance Lead to own security, risk, and compliance initiatives across the organization. You will define strategy, drive execution, and be accountable for security and compliance outcomes.

The role requires cross-functional collaboration with engineering, product, operations, and commercial teams to embed security in everyday operations. Strong stakeholder management and a pragmatic business focus are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in information security with focus on compliance and risk management.
• Proven experience leading security programs (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR).
• Good understanding of DevOps, cloud infra (AWS/Azure), and operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and continuous improvement of security, risk, and compliance programs.
• Own and manage SOC 2 Type II audit lifecycle and support ISO 27001 & GDPR initiatives.
• Define and promote security policies, standards, and best practices.
• Serve as primary contact for security/compliance in customer and pre-sales discussions.
• Partner with product, engineering, and business teams to embed security in processes.
• Identify risks, track remediation, and maintain an effective risk management framework.
• Oversee security controls to align with regulatory and business needs.
• Report on compliance status, risks, and audit readiness to leadership and external stakeholders.
• Influence cross-functional teams to achieve security and compliance goals.
