Job summary

Synechron is seeking a Security Architect with mandatory payments-domain experience to design secure, scalable, and compliant solutions for payment platforms, gateways, APIs, and transaction-processing systems. You will translate business and security requirements into solution architectures, create design documents and diagrams, and collaborate with Security, Engineering and Application Support teams.

The role requires hands-on IAM, SSO, DLP, PCI DSS knowledge and proven experience securing

Qualifications

• Prior experience in payments, banking, or financial-services domain.
• Experience designing or securing payment platforms, gateways, APIs, or card-payment systems.
• Knowledge of payment security, regulatory, and compliance requirements (PCI DSS, etc).
• Ability to translate business and security requirements into robust solution architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design secure, scalable, and compliant solutions for payment platforms, gateways, APIs, and transaction-processing systems.
• Translate business and security requirements into solution architectures and create design documents and architecture diagrams.
• Collaborate with Security Architects, Engineering, and Application Support teams to implement secure solutions.
• Present solutions through Architecture Review Boards and governance processes.
• Demonstrate strong stakeholder management and communication skills in security projects.

Job Description:

We are seeking a Security Architect with mandatory payments-domain experience to design secure, scalable, and compliant solutions for payment platforms, payment gateways, APIs, and transaction-processing systems.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements:

• Solution Architect experience with strong exposure to security-focused projects
• Hands-on knowledge of Identity & Access Management (IAM)
• Experience with Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions
• Understanding of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) technologies
• Ability to translate business and security requirements into solution architectures
• Experience creating solution design documents and architecture diagrams
• Ability to work closely with Security Architects, Engineering, and Application Support teams
• Experience presenting solutions through Architecture Review Boards/Governance processes
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Proven experience designing or securing payment platforms, payment gateways, payment APIs, card-payment systems, digital wallets, or transaction-processing solutions
• Strong understanding of payment data flows, tokenization, encryption, API security, and secure payment integrations
• Practical knowledge of PCI DSS and security controls applicable to payment environments
• Ability to assess security risks and define controls for payment applications, infrastructure, cloud platforms, and third-party payment providers

Mandatory Experience:

• Prior experience working in the payments, banking, or financial-services domain
• Experience securing high-volume, business-critical payment systems
• Knowledge of payment security, regulatory, and compliance requirements
