SAP Solution & Basis Specialist
  • Support authorization management activities, including configuring user roles and profiles to ensure secure and compliant SAP environments.
  • Develop and enforce security policies, regularly updating authorization structures to prevent unauthorized access and protect data integrity.
  • Work with SAP teams to integrate security measures across applications, troubleshoot authorization issues, and conduct regular security audits.
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd Line Support to address and resolve tickets related to basis and authorization modules and customer‑specific solutions.
  • Conduct detailed problem analysis to diagnose issues thoroughly, understand root causes, and configure SAP systems to develop effective solutions.
  • Design and enhance SAP security roles to meet business requirements.
  • GRC System administration.
  • Collaborate with 1st‑Level support and other IT teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients by addressing support topics promptly and effectively.
  • Regularly analyze and report on ticket trends in the designated area to identify recurring issues and potential improvements.
  • Lead and execute minor projects and system changes tailored to meet specific customer needs and requirements.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of support issues, solutions, and project changes to ensure transparency and knowledge sharing.
Apply if you have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP Basis and BC-SEC modules, including experience with user role and profile configuration, and authorization object management.
  • Expertise in developing and implementing SAP security policies and procedures, with a focus on compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve authorization issues efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to SAP operations.
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively with cross‑functional teams and to conduct user training sessions on SAP security practices.
  • Capacity to perform security audits, analyze authorization structures, and recommend improvements to safeguard the SAP landscape.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting system issues and providing user training to enhance SAP adoption.
  • Strong analytical skills to diagnose issues and develop effective solutions for complex problems.
  • Ability to maintain and enhance customer relationships through effective communication and support.
  • Familiarity with ticket management systems to track and manage support requests efficiently.
  • Understanding of project management principles to successfully manage small‑scale projects and changes.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and clients, both verbally and in writing.
  • Willingness to stay updated with the latest SAP developments and adapt to new tools and technologies.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • SAP certifications in relevant modules (preferred).
  • Understanding of ITIL principles and the overall managed service process.
  • Very good command of English, both spoken and written. Knowledge of German will be an additional advantage.
