What you will do
- Build, extend, and maintain robotics simulations in NVIDIA Isaac Sim (Omniverse) using Python, including robot assets, environments, and sensor models (LiDAR, cameras, radar).
- Develop Isaac Sim extensions, OmniGraph pipelines, and Python tooling for scenario authoring, domain randomization, and synthetic data generation.
- Integrate ROS 2 stacks with Isaac Sim.
- Prototype and evaluate perception, planning, and control algorithms in simulation.
Requirements
- Master's, Bachelor's, or PhD degree in Robotics, Automation Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Hands‑on experience with NVIDIA Isaac Sim / Omniverse (USD, PhysX, OmniGraph, Replicator, extensions) building end‑to‑end robotic simulations.
- Experience with ROS 2 (Robot Operating System) and its integration with simulators (nav2, ros2_control, TF, sensor_msgs).
- Good understanding of robotics – path planning, kinematics, sensors – and how to validate them in simulation.
- Experience creating realistic sensor simulations (camera, LiDAR, IMU), calibration, and ground‑truth data pipelines.
- Familiarity with Git-based workflows and CI/CD for simulation projects.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and analytical thinking.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Nice to haves
- Familiarity with C++ for performance‑critical modules or Isaac/Omniverse extensions; basic CUDA understanding.
- Familiarity with machine learning for robotics, synthetic data workflows, and domain randomization.
- Experience in developing software for embedded systems and sim‑to‑real transfer.
- Experience with other simulation tools or game engines (O3DE, Gazebo, Unity3D, Unreal Engine).
