Job summary

Dollar General is hiring a store associate to act as the main point of contact for customers, maintain plan-o-grams, and keep shelves stocked for a busy retail floor.

You will unload shipments, set up displays, assist shoppers, operate the cash register, and help ensure a clean, safe store environment while following company policies. This position offers opportunities to grow with a nationwide retailer.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; stock merchandise in stock room or on sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays.
• Stock merchandise; rotate and face shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Greet customers and operate cash register to total purchases.
• Collect payment and make change, bag merchandise.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using hand-held scanners.
• Clean front end of store and assist with sidewalk displays.
