Job summary

Crisil Integral IQ is seeking a Research Analyst to support a major investment bank. You will build econometric models, analyze macro data, and maintain large Excel-based datasets with a focus on financial markets and economics.

The role requires strong quantitative skills and familiarity with Python/Matlab/Eviews, Bloomberg and Haver. You will work in a hybrid setup with regular collaboration across global teams, delivering weekly and quarterly analyses and insights that shape investment

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of financial markets and economic fundamentals.
• Experience in econometric analysis or statistical modelling.
• Advanced Excel, charting and PowerPoint skills.
• Experience with Python, Matlab or Eviews is highly desirable.
• Excellent quantitative skills with high attention to detail.
• Comfort with Bloomberg and Haver data.
• Strong written and verbal communication for global clients.

Responsibilities

• Create and update Excel-based databases regularly.

We are looking for a Research Analyst who will join our Team supporting one of the biggest investment banks.

Key responsibilities:

• Create and update excel based databases on a regular basis.
• Gather data from various public sources. Analysis of large datasets to identify patterns & trends.
• Complete understanding of balance of payments, government financing, debt, FX, international trade, monetary and fiscal policies.
• Build end to end econometric models using time series methods in Python/Matlab/Eviews. It also includes sound understanding of economic fundamentals and their inter relationship.
• Monitor and provide support for existing automation projects and review current projects for opportunities that drive improvement in the process.
• Assist in preparation and publication of weekly, monthly and quarterly deliverables.
• Keep abreast with important macro-economic news/FX and rates market developments which impact emerging markets.

Skills required:

• Strong knowledge of financial market and economic fundamentals is a must.
• Experience in econometric analysis/statistical modelling.
• Advanced excel, charting and PowerPoint skills.
• Experience or skills in Python/ Matlab/ Eviews or other statistical software is highly desirable.
• Excellent quantitative skills and high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Working experience of Bloomberg and Haver is preferred.
• Strong written skills, including ability to effectively communicate economic/financial concepts.
• Strong communication skills with proven ability to interact with global clients.
