Job summary

Compiled Health is seeking a software engineer to build clinician-facing product layers and interoperability services. You will work across frontend, backend, data, and infrastructure to integrate with clinical workflows and produce explainable compiler-driven recommendations.

This remote role includes offsites a few times per year; you will collaborate with clinicians, researchers, and partners to advance production-grade decision artifacts and maintain strong observability and security

Qualifications

• Experience shipping production software end to end and taking responsibility after release.
• Strong engineering fundamentals and depth in one stack with ability to work across stacks.
• Experience building and deploying software that integrates with EHRs and clinical workflows.
• Experience implementing production healthcare data exchange using FHIR, HL7 v2, or related interoperability standards.
• Good product judgment with attention to clarity, latency, and user interaction details.
• Experience building reliable systems with testing, observability, security, and release practices.
• Ability to direct your own work and communicate with clinicians, researchers, and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Build the clinician-facing product and services that evaluate, deliver, and explain compiled decision artifacts.
• Develop integrations that assemble patient context and place recommendations inside clinical workflows.
• Design production guarantees around artifact versioning, provenance, execution traces, observability, rollout, and rollback.
• Work across frontend, backend, data, and infrastructure to diagnose and fix failures from origin to outcome.
• Turn bespoke deployments into reusable product capabilities while preserving local clinical differences and feeding back production insights.
