Job summary

Eurofins Scientific is seeking a Senior IT Risk Officer to identify, assess and reduce IT and cybersecurity risks across its European operations. You will perform risk assessments independently across laboratories, business units, and IT environments, collaborating with IT security and business teams.

The role requires solid technical understanding of IT infrastructure and cybersecurity, strong risk communication, and willingness to travel Europe 35–50%.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years in cybersecurity, IT risk, IT audit or related control functions.
• Experience performing IT risk assessments or security assessments.
• Strong understanding of risk management and cybersecurity principles.
• Technical knowledge across networking, IAM/MFA, cloud security, and SIEM.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct IT and cybersecurity risk assessments across environments.
• Assess controls for network security, IAM, endpoint security, cloud, logging and backup.
• Identify technical weaknesses and translate to business risks and recommendations.
• Produce high-quality assessment reports and present findings to teams.
• Follow up on remediation actions and improve assessment methodologies.
